Premium Photo Paper:

Your PixSavers prints are on high quality acid-free premium paper.  These days, almost all paper are acid-free.
Newspapers use biodegradable, self dissolving paper.  PixSavers selected a premium paper for photographs
which has a longevity quality to keep our images intact.  We believe that glossy paper is
not a quality paper for
photos.  We recommended matted paper for longevity.  Matted paper has a texture which keeps inks, toners and
photo chemicals in place longer.  It's no secret that our company mostly uses card stock as its preferred stock.
Card stock paper has an excellent quality for longevity as it's acid free and textured which lasts much longer.

Your Original Photographs and their Longevity:

Original prints need to be stored in a cool but dry place and
not on an outside wall where it's damp.
Most document repositories have humidity control measures to ensure that paper is in its best condition.
Tissue sheets can be laid between sheets of archival paper to insulate from cold, moisture.
Likewise, alkaline storage boxes or treated plastic bags can be utilized for archival storage.
If you need a place to find them, call us and we will help you with this project.

Archival Gold CD as a Photo Storage for Longevity:
Our Archival CD's will last almost 300 years as tested by its manufacturer - very recommended.
You may buy our Archival Gold CDs separately for your photographic archival "forever" storage.

Acid-Free Paper:

Acid-free paper will last longer than any other paper and is good for your photo archival storage.
It may be unpleasant to know that acid-free photos are not biodegradable as they will not dissolve or recycle.
The alternative is that photos will last longer.  Photo albums and scrapbooks and its papers are acid-free.
In scrapbooks or albums:  colored paper is acid-free.  Acid-free paper is found in plastic coated papers,
file folders, card-stock paper, greeting cards, fine art prints and limited edition prints.
