Grandfather (Soccer Boy), 1907 Soccer Coach, Soccer Association President.
Client is President and league manager of the Association, grandfather's legacy.
BEFORE and AFTER PHOTOs:
Glue over the hair should be removed but we need to redraw the hair, free-hand.
The black border will be trimmed-out, the oval converted into a rectangular photo.
Fading causes millions of age spots which enlarge with the photo enlargement.
Free-hand Mouse, to draw a soccer ball like it always existed, left-lower corner.
New shoes were drawn near the ball as a runner's shoe and the other shoe too.
Rounding the black border into a dog-ears per each corner, we made the
rectangle.

I was most happy with the work he did, as he made effort to get the picture just right. He is an old school perfectionist, a
quality sometimes hard to come by. His work is meticulous and professional at a very fair price. Considering the great
quality, price and the ease of working with Steve, I was more than satisfied.

The image of my grandfather is fantastic. Thank you for helping me to have this happy remembrance. I will treasure the
photo and share copies with my family.
AFTER PHOTO:
We cropped it to eliminate unnecessary head-room. Changed from 2x3 to 3x4.
As a photo is enlarged, spots become bigger, additional tiny spots will appear.
The software doesn't do what's advertised as we prefer to manually remove red-eye.
We centered the child, cleared background clutter, deleted the wall plug, brightened,
sharpened, (professionals never use magic buttons for these) then checked a
digital histogram for color balance. Millions of spots, especially in the plant were
removed as these spots will print. This customer requested the watermark to add
security. Fitted into a photo frame with neutral colors, suggesting white or black for
color photos as this photograph especially has multiple colors.

Before Photo:
photo tasks (listed):
Our oval photo will need to be digitally converted into a rectangle photograph.
Background problems are from the original photographer, needs to be all fixed.
All spots and streaks on clothing need to be removed or risk printing streaks.
The oval is covering a leg in the lower-right corner. An arm is outside the border.
We are requested to draw parts with our well known free-hand mouse talents.
A leg and arm that never existed will be drawn with the mouse. Then, we need
to blend and brighten its dark and dated look and then update the photograph.

BEFORE and AFTER PHOTOS:
This is our best example of a photograph with meldew spots all over it.
This B&W shows tears, water damage, massive age spotting. Torn at the
woman's right arm sleeve. Age spots are mildew from the water. Mildew
grows on photographs in attics, basements, or where water leaks,
lack of insulation, especially in outside walls. This will not be an ordinary job.
Most of it is embedded into the stained photo, it'll need advanced restoration.
We are equipped with the knowledge for quality work from top to bottom.
Photographs need to be preserved better. Read preservation conservation.
Be sure to archival photos with a non-acid wrap.
The owner thought the clapboards were damaged on the house and recorded
into the photo. Photo damage can be deceiving. Allow an expert to derive at
the most common problems in a photograph. Do not depend upon a photo to
tell you about the condition of your home, especially if the photo is this old.

After Photo:
Our major concern was the leg and arm in the photograph. First we draw a leg.
The leg was free-hand mouse-drawn, as there is no copying or magic buttons.
We create an arm at the border (never there before), free-hand mouse drawing.
Even the smallest wrinkle in the jeans is drawn with our free-hand mouse draw.
Thousands of spots and streaks will print unless taken out one by one.
Fades will always create its own spots in the millions as they multiply in front us.
Torn areas, ripped in areas at the bottom of the before-photo is mended here.
Manual digital restores are utilized in the same way photo tools are utilized.
This job is time consuming, takes patience and at best, stamina and a blurry eye.
Needs a left leg to show outside its oval border

BEFORE and AFTER PHOTOS:
Problem Summary:
These Timeless Tintype Photographs followed genealogy, respectfully from 1839.
This is a 1883 photo of a family's great-grandfather at 7 years old, in private school.
As tintype specialists we know their history, possibly their origin, how it was taken.
Photographers had a knob for their head to rest upon and a lean-table for stability.
This one had scratches, spots, was faded to a dust color, with hardly an image left.
Still as experts, we are able to restore tintype which have faded to almost black fade.
The original photographer painted a gold ring on the child's index finger in humor.
Perhaps he thought it would be a joke. The client wanted the ring taken away.
Tintypes need to be digitally mastered with advanced knowledge, high resolution.
We are specialists, advanced student instructors for antique tintype photographs.
Patience is needed to repair tiny scratches, spots, to reproduced the photographs.
A real family face emerged from the ash-grey image as we pulled out color in it.
Ferro-types were hand colored in its day, as the photographer would patiently daub
the image with color from the head of a pin. In a close-up zoom, we saw this detail:
worn surfaces on the foot rungs of the stool, and in more detail, we saw his folded
socks which couldn't be seen otherwise as we made them more prominently seen.
We cleaned, repaired and reconstructed this tintype photograph from top to bottom.
TINTYPE FRAME (left)
This was their typical frame with a leather-bound hinge, opened like a book, and
some were vinyl. Inside, on the left side, it had an over-stuffed velvet pad with mirror
behind. On the right side was a gold gilded brass ornate frame shrouding the tin
photo which was notched on the corners (some were merely bent-over) to fit and
locked into the brass framing. Some frames were made into make-up cases for the
ladies who would powder their nose while gazing at their boyfriend's photo.
